Hello, my name is Geoff Harris.  I have been the Store Manager of Utrecht Royal Oak for 6 years.   As a professional working in the retail art industry for over 27 years, I can assist you with my knowledge in every art medium.  I also am an expert in matting and framing and have extensive experience with airbrush equipment.

Utrecht Royal Oak is Metro Detroit’s #1 retailer of national brand art supplies.  We also carry our own Utrecht brand products, including artist quality paints, brushes, mediums, linens and canvas.  Stop in and register for one of our periodic demonstrations.  Mat-cutting and printmaking have been recent favorites.  Check out our message board where customers post information on up-coming art events and opportunities.  Feel free to bring your questions to our knowledgeable staff as each employee has an area of specialty.   We are located just one block south of 12 Mile Rd. on the east side of Woodward Ave.

Anita Andersons is the Senior Assistant Manager and has been with the company for over 17 years.  She can help you with questions on any item in the store, especially block printing, acrylic painting, and watercolor products.  As a working artist, Anita’s preferred media is paper collage and assemblage.  Her unique and interesting works can be seen in many shows around the Detroit area.  Anita also has skills in curating and running galleries.

Leo Hanifin has been with Utrecht since August 2007.  Leo can assist you with most anything in the store, especially drawing supplies.  An 05′ graduate from University of Detroit Mercy (where he studied Architecture and Digital Media).  Leo uses a variety of mixed media techniques ranging from manual to digital. 

Kelly Miller has been with the store since August of 2006, but has over 5 years of experience in the retail art industry.  Due to her years in the business she can answer virtually any questions you may have about products in the store.  Kelly loves to draw, especially with colored pencils and markers.

Eric Van Torre has also been with us since August 2007.  He is a former elementary art teacher and knows quite a bit about all mediums especially oil painting and sculpture supplies and techniques.  Not only is Eric an accomplished artist but he is also a fine musician.

Kelly Joy Reinhardt joined our store in January and has an unmatched enthusiasm.  She graduated from Eastern Michigan’s Textile department where she specialized in suface design.  Kelly has travelled extensively as a proponent of AmeriCorps National Service, which she uses as inspiration for her work.

Kevin McCoy has been with the store since January 2008.  He is a 3rd year Fine Arts major at College for Creative Studies and works with oils as well as other mixed media applications.  Kevin can assist you with book making, drawing and painting techniques/ supplies.  He is inspired by figurative work, enjoys vegetarian sloppy joes and kung fu movies.
